According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the workgroup of agriculture of biotechnology development headquarter has prioritized the areas of use of bio-inhibitors in control of pests and disease and use of bio-fertilizers in management of consolidated nutrition to implement the missions determined in this area.

In addition, application of plants for tissue culture, use of biotechnology in breeding and genetic improvement of livestock, birds and aquatics, and exploitation of molecular methods in detection of diseases of livestock, birds and aquatics are other priorities of this area.
