Evaluation of information on SCImago journal website and search based on biotechnology have demonstrated that Iran is ranked 13^th in the world with one step improvement, compared to last year.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, according to the SCImago journal rank, China is ranked first with seven thousand and 61 documents, followed by America, India and South Korea with six thousand and 433, two thousand and 714 and two thousand and 20 documents, respectively.

In ranking of Iran among the Middle East countries, Iran is still first due to production of documents in the biotechnology area.

According to the report by SCImago, Iran is ranked first in the region with 841 documents, followed by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Egypt with 606, 340 and 282 documents, respectively.
