In this method, powder is mixed with glue and injected to the mold. In addition, this method is applied to produce small pieces (weight below 50 gr).

The PIM is basically divided into two categories of high (HPIM) and low (LPIM) pressure according to the pressure applied during the injection process. Comparison of the two categories demonstrated the higher benefits of the low pressure method, such as low construction costs, low temperature and pressure of injection and shorter adherence. Moreover, abrasion of the mold is low in this method and there is the possibility of full recycle of returned parts.
