The sixth student brain and cognition summer school will be held.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the national brain-mapping laboratory will hold the sixth student brain and cognition summer school August 23^rd-28^th, 2018 with the cooperation of Iranian Neuroscience Society and by the support of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter.

This school will be held with the goal of improving the abilities of top students of the country in basic neural sciences and cognitive technologies, brain-mapping and learning general skills required in research, including methods of statement of problems, proposal drafting, designing posters and presenting contents in this area. This school is especially held for first and second-grade female students of the country in the presence of top professors in field of neural and cognitive sciences and technologies of the best universities in the country. This event is associated with group and scientific activities of histology of the nervous system, anatomy of nervous system, research methods in neural sciences, physiology, electrophysiology, brain mapping, artificial intelligence, perception, learning and memory, methods to enhance cognitive practices, cognitive aspects of psychological diseases and neurology, cognitive games, neural basis of consciousness, and team making with a neuroscience approach.

In the end of the school, the practical skills of students will be evaluated to determine the effectiveness of the school, followed by providing valid certificates to the participants from the national brain-mapping laboratory and Iranian neuroscience society. The national brain-mapping laboratory has been established to respond to a part of research and technology needs of the country in the area of laying the groundwork for imaging and brain stimulation for cognitive studies and presenting knowledge-based services in the area of cognitive sciences and technologies and brain mapping with the support of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.
