The educational biotechnology promotional meeting was held in Lorestan province with the support of biotechnology development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the biotechnology development headquarter of the country held a student meeting in Lorestan to promote and develop the concept of biotechnology in the country.

According to the planning of this headquarter, this project is titled as pioneering centers of student biotechnology and has been previously implemented in other provinces, including Tehran, Yazd, Isfahan, Lorestan, Khuzestan, Fars and Mazandaran.

During this meeting, Khoda Nazar Darikvand, general director of education of Lorestan, emphasized the friendship between students and the nature, stating: presence of novel technologies in the field of agriculture and biotechnology is one of the areas that must be encouraged in students.

In addition, Narges Abdali, team member of biotechnology content design for students of Pasteur institute of north of the country, affirmed: this institute has created a model for parents and instructors of students in the form of animation, puzzle and games from pre-elementary to university in order to motivate students to learn about this area.

She talked about the collaboration between schools and the mentioned institute, adding: schools perform educational classes, which is one of the important programs of this institute.

She also emphasized: biotechnology can be applied in more and better use of plants and animals to increase food safety. Given the fact that food safety is one of the most important needs of the society, all countries have aimed to optimize this area.

Abdali pointed out the familiarization of students with biotechnology field as an important task, asserting: the biotechnology development headquarter must act in the student area in a way that a bright future could be hoped due to the efforts of students in this field in order to receive a Nobel prize.
