NASA"s space organization has initiated the construction of the spacecraft that sends man on missions in the depths of space for the first time in the past half-decade.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, this spacecraft will be manufactured in Michoud, New Orleans with the cooperation of technical engineers and experts of Lockheed Martin Company.

As the first step, the astronaut"s capsule, called the Orion, will be produced. It is aimed to send Orion on its important space mission in 2019.

Since 50 years ago that America sent a spaceman to moon, no similar space missions have been performed by this country. Nasa has aimed to repeat this mission and also send a manned spacecraft to the mars. However, the timing and other details of these travels are not determined yet.

After the completion of the under construction command capsule, another seven parts will be produced to complete this spacecraft. It is expected that this manned spacecraft have less weight, compared to previous counterparts, up to 30%. In addition, the pieces used in manufacturing must be up to 80% less than other spacecraft. It should be noted that this spacecraft will be completely manufactured in the next September.
