The administrative secretary of the “Brain Awareness Week” announced the holding of 13 specialized seminars and meetings for students and the public along with the mentioned week in various regions of the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sina Tavakoli, administrative secretary of “Brain Awareness Week” pointed out that this year is the third consecutive year of holding this event by the efforts of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter, expressing: in this week, four specialized students seminars will be held in schools. On the other hand, three scientific student meetings will be held in academic centers. On the other hand, five public gatherings will be carried out in culture building centers to introduce brain capabilities and methods for their improvement, as well as techniques to maintain brain health. In addition, a well-fare seminar with the topic of “training instructors” will be held as well.

According to Tavakoli, some of the goals of the “Brain Awareness Week” included that improving brain performance, accelerating the diagnosis of cerebral disorders and diseases, raising public awareness toward brain diseases and lack of labeling these patients.

The administrative secretary of the “Brain Awareness Week” reminded: students of brain and cognition fields must explain about this area in schools and other public places to increase the awareness of students about brain and its abilities.

Tavakoli also regarded the creating of interactions between specialists and researchers of brain area and normal people of the society as the main goal of holding this week with the cooperation of organizations and units of this area.

The “Brain Awareness Week” is a global program and its third round will be consecutively held this year during February 23^rd-March 1^st 2018 in various areas of the country with the cooperation of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter.
