According to the report of the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, in the meeting of the leaders of the G77, which is held under the theme "Common Development Challenges: The Role of Science, Technology and Innovation", the heads of developing countries will participate with Guterres, Secretary General of The United Nations.

The issues of bilateral cooperation between the two countries (Iran and Cuba) are supposed to be followed up on the sidelines of the G77 summit.

Considering the recent visit of the president of our country to Cuba and the need to develop bilateral cooperation, it is decided to form a scientific and technological cooperation committee between the two countries.

It should be mentioned that the Group of 77 was formed in 1964 as the largest alliance of developing countries by 77 countries. This group started its official activity after the end of the meeting of trade and development of the United Nations - UNCTAD - through a statement. This coalition now has 133 member countries, but due to the historical and political importance of its initial meeting, which led to their formation and official activity, it still introduces itself as the Group of 77.

Within the framework of the United Nations, the Group of 77 pursues issues such as promoting collective economic interests and strengthening the South's negotiation capacity, as well as technical cooperation among developing countries.
