The name of Iran has been registered among the countries producing bio drugs, which were produced in the heyday of sanctions and solely on the basis of our own scientific findings. Currently, about 50 bio drugs have been registered in the country's drug list, 22 of which have been localized so far.

During the first days of corona outbreak in Iran (March 17th, 2020), a news was spread regarding a new medical finding in Baqiyatallah Hospital. According to the news, the combination of three drugs, prednisolone, azithromycin and naproxen, has a positive effect on the healing process of pneumonia in patients with COVID-19.
