The secretary of biotechnology development headquarter believes that new biotechnologies can help reduce environmental pollutants that endanger the health of human beings and the environment.

The problem of air pollution is a multifaceted issue that is affected by human, natural, internal and external factors. There are two basic ways to reduce air pollution: one is to remove pollutants and sources of emissions and the other is to use technologies to reduce emissions.

The biotechnology development headquarter, which is one of the bases for following up programs to reduce air pollution in the country, has aimed to introduce and use biotechnologies to decrease dangerous pollutants.

In this regard, Mostafa Ghanei stated: utilizing all the technological capabilities of knowledge-based companies and researchers is one of the most important solutions to reduce environmental pollution. We must try to make good use of these existing capacities in the country.

Ghanei continued: the headquarter supports any technological project to solve this issue. Any technological plan that reduces pollutants, reduces the consumption of fossil fuels, both fixed and mobile, can be supported by the headquarter.

According to Ghanei, use of biofuels such as diesel fuel and gasoline reduces air pollution, which is one of the projects of the biotechnology development headquarter.
