According to the communication and information center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, the intelligent urban traffic management system, which was designed and built by the researchers of Sharif University of Technology and was unveiled in the presence of the Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy and the Minister of Science, information It collects traffic with a very high volume and speed from city level sensors and cameras and processes that use new and innovative methods of big data analysis.

This system includes sensors installed in the city, a traffic data management and analysis system, and a traffic incident analysis system using artificial intelligence, all of which are researched and produced by Sharif University of Technology researchers.

In this system, which was designed under the supervision of Gholampour, a member of the Sharif University of Technology, the traffic information is obtained at a very high speed and volume, including text information, image, video, etc., from the city traffic and using optimal methods and storage systems and distributed processing is analyzed. The results of the analysis in this information are used for optimal traffic management, culture building, reducing accidents and violations, and evaluating and predicting traffic plans.
