Electricity is one of the main industries of the country and has a high potential in the area of innovation. The problems of this large industry can be solved with the help of technological solutions of knowledge-based companies. 

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, following the concluding of an agreement between the Vice-Presidency and the ministry of energy, preliminary plans were made to use the power and knowledge of knowledge-based and technology companies to localize the equipment needed, as well as to solve problems related to power supply during peak summer.

To meet its technological needs and localize the equipment and technologies it needs, the country"s electricity industry has invited knowledge-based companies, technology companies and startups across the country that are active in this ecosystem to meet these needs.

Zeynab Hamidzadeh, the assistant to the vice president for science and technology affairs in the innovation ecosystem of energy field, expressed: since the country’s electricity consumption rate increases in the warm season due to a higher demand, this issue leads to blackouts at peak hours. Therefore, the ministry of energy and TAVANIR have demanded solving the problem of using the capacity and technological solutions of knowledge-based companies. 

Hamidzadeh added: in several meetings with the Ministry of Energy, especially TAVANIR and Satkab, it was decided that this cooperation should not be limited to the issue of courier and knowledge-based companies and technology companies should focus on all the needs of this large public sector and for these needs. 

Accordingly, and given the primary targeting in this field, in order to make the best use of the country"s startup capacity, in the first phase, a reduction of 1000 MW of electricity consumption in the summer peak is predicted as one of the most important issues facing the electricity industry. This has been formulated and communicated by TAVANIR in the form of a private partnership regulation on reducing summer courier consumption in the domestic and commercial sectors.

Currently, there are many technological companies and technology cores in the electricity industry. Attempts have been made to improve electricity industry performance using technologies in cooperation with the energy innovation ecosystem.
