Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, talked to journalists during his travel to Ilam Province: In recent years, especially in the 11th and 12th governments, Ilam has experienced significant development in various fields, including oil and gas. Also, two weeks ago, a large project in the field of water and soil was implemented in the country, most of which was related to Ilam province.

Sattari continued: the development of knowledge-based economy is followed by the Vice-Presidency since there is a capacity called creative and innovative human resources in the province. On the other hand, the infrastructures have been properly developed in the last few years.

The vice president for science and technology affairs marked: today, the governor of Ilam has given the good news of a severe decline in the rate of unemployment in the province.

The president of the headquarters for culture knowledge-based economy added: there are good capacities such as universities in the province to train human resources. Ilam science and technology park is new but has had valuable activities. Nevertheless, the infrastructures of the park must be improved. So, more investment needs to be made. Because in order to expand the knowledge-based economy, the development of infrastructure and culture must take place in the province.

Sattari pointed out the activities of knowledge-based companies, asserting: about 5,300 knowledge-based companies are operating in the country. Last year, 120,000 billion tomans were sold and 300,000 people had direct employment, which with indirect employment, it is possible to create several million jobs for them.

Ilam is a new province in this field and the science and technology park of the province requires development in the infrastructures. However, we must all cooperate to make this happen. Today, good things are happening in this trip for the technology and innovation ecosystem of the province.

According to this report, in addition to visiting active technology centers and talking to the province's technologists, three technology projects will be inaugurated in Ilam with the presence of Sattari.

During the trip, the project of factory to produce automation equipment was initiated.

Sattari traveled to Ilam to open the center of research center for joint diseases of man and animal to university of medical sciences. The center was opened in the presence of Sattari to pave the way for researchers to research common diseases between animals and livestock.

In another part of this trip, the research greenhouses of Ilam University will be inaugurated. With four greenhouses, this complex has provided a suitable space for innovative and technological activities.
