The president of Iran national science fund stated: the results of research will be applied to eliminate corona crisis by supporting researchers. By doing so, the cultural and social aspects of the country will be developed.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Iman Eftekhari, the president of Iran national science fund, emphasized the mutual cooperation of the fund with researchers and the necessity of using the research results in the fight against corona, expressing: fund has extensive relationships with more than 35 thousand Iranian researchers. Therefore, attempts are made to use the capacity to of research in the field of coronavirus. In addition, the fund supports the research of researchers in the field.

Eftekhari continued: the fund will soon carry out measures on the disease. Publishing a joint call with Chinese Scientific Academy, announcing a call on “the corona fight” and the plan to use the potential of top researchers and the results of their research are among the measures taken in the area.

Pointing out the movement of “ups and downs of life”, he added: the goal of the movement is rapid responding to the current needs of the society. In addition, the movement focuses on social, cultural, human, spiritual and mental issues related to the disease, aiming to use the capacities of the country to maintain the mental and cultural health of society members when exposed to the disease.

Eftekhari talked about holding educational workshops, production of multimedia products and various software as promotional tools as the results of the movement, asserting: since the disease has devastating effects on families and individuals over an indefinite period of time, we hope that these products will help maintain people"s mental health. In the production of these products, the potentials of various scientific fields, from mystical literature to psychological studies, have been used to soften the difficult atmosphere that society is facing and to help the continuity of its people.

Eftekhari considered the formation of a virtual space for more interaction and cooperation between professors and researchers of other provinces of the country as a golden opportunity, reminding that the fund supports the research activities of researchers.
