Memorandum of Understanding/Increased Support of Mine Startups
A memorandum of understanding was signed between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and Iranian Mines & Mining Industries Development & Renovation (IMIDRO) to develop the influence of technology on mine and related industries and support active companies and startups.
The vice president for science and technology affairs has implemented extensive programs to strengthen the presence of knowledge-based companies, technology companies and startups in the field of mining and mineral industries. In this regard, a memorandum of understanding was signed between IMIDRO and the Vice-Presidency.
In this bilateral agreement, joint projects are designed to develop the innovation ecosystem in mine field. Comprehensive support for knowledge-based and technology companies active in the field of mining and other mining industries was the focus of this mutual understanding.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Jafar Sarghini, the supervisor of the ministry of industry, mine and trade, Esmaeil Ghaderfar, the president of the strategic technologies development headquarter, Kambiz Mahdizadeh, the advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs, and Khodadad Gharibpour, the CEO of IMIDRO, during which the two parties accepted to find solutions for problems of innovative startups and companies by forming joint working groups.
Utilizing the maximum capacities and capabilities existing in the country and the influence of new technologies in the field of mining and mining industries is another part of this MoU.
In addition, the two parties agreed on recognizing the technological needs of mine field and ask knowledge-based and technological companies to provide technological solutions.
Other topics of the agreement included cooperation in establishing and launching an innovation center in the field of mining and related industries, cooperation in supporting start-up businesses and accelerators in this field and cooperation in supporting projects related to increasing productivity.
