The production of health products such as drugs and cells at an early stage requires animal modeling. A system that has not been well established in our country for the last 50 years to pursue the treatment of legitimate diseases. However, the stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter has established a national network to follow this goal.

Amir Ali Hamidieh, the secretary of the stem cells sciences and technologies development headquarter, pointed out the measures taken by the headquarter in the field of pre-clinical studies, stating: the headquarter has carried out measures in this field based on the document of national development of stem cells sciences and technologies approved by the cultural supreme council.

He also asserted: the national network of animal modeling and in-vitro research was established in the headquarter since pre-clinical studies are the basis for health industries. With the creation of this national network, all the activists in this field were invited to join it to take powerful steps to develop it in the country.

Pointing out the need for different animal models for various diseases, Hamidieh continued: for the production of products such as drugs, cells, and genes, animal studies and research on animal models must be undertaken, and the development of this field will make the treatment of diseases in that country lawful. Therefore, a step is taken in the path of development of research by forming this national network, and the educational and promotional program was held on January 23^rd, 2020 in the presence of activists of the field.

Moreover, Rabani, the secretary of the strategic council of the national network of animal modeling and in vitro research, affirmed: the network was launched based on a greater focus on preclinical research. Animal testing is required for medicinal products prior to human clinical trials. Therefore, the network has aimed to realize brilliant results by managing these studies, taking effective steps toward conducting systematic, legal and focused research.

According to Rabani, one of the measures taken by the network to realize this goal is holding a symposium entitled “animal modeling and in vitro study”, which was held in Tehran Heart Center on January 23^rd, 2020. Introducing the activities of this national network to all researchers is the goal pursued by this symposium.
