Access to aerospace technology is difficult for countries in transition, and they prefer to be more of an importer of technology than a producer and source of work. Before the revolution, Iran was only meeting its needs by importing, but now it has something to say in this field of science, and it has pulled its kilim out of the water to an acceptable level.

This work was started by identifying the needs of the country"s aviation industry and supporting knowledge-based companies, and was completed by producing and localizing some of the required parts and technologies. Repair of aircraft parts, provision of technologies required for aircraft design and construction, localization of airport equipment, navigation and assistance, production of practical parts in aircraft, etc. are among the measures that have been taken with the efforts of knowledge-based companies.

Although it was difficult to achieve these technologies, we were able to achieve these technologies with the capacity of knowledge that we had stored in the technology and innovation ecosystem, and to overcome the difficult and difficult turn of sanctions. Of course, there is still a lot to be said in this area, and there is still a long way to go for self-reliance, but this amount of achievement has been a national and global honor.

The Iran national space and advanced transportation administration has aimed to improve the domestic technology level in the aerial industry and create new knowledge-based businesses with the support of the knowledge-based companies active in this area. 

The goal, set at the headquarters in 2019-2020, includes plans to localize some aircraft components, airport equipment, radar, navigation and navigation assistance, develop public aviation services, develop commercial UAV products and services, and obtain a certificate of conformity for knowledge-based products.
