The joint scientific projects of Iran and Brazil will be supported by signing a memorandum of understanding between Iran national science foundation and the Brazilian Sao Paulo Research Foundation. This memorandum of understanding will pave the way for expansion of scientific cooperation between the two countries.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Iran national science foundation and the Brazilian Sao Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) signed a memorandum of understanding to accelerate the pace of scientific cooperation between the two countries in various fields.

According to the memorandum of understanding, the joint projects of Iranian and Brazilian researchers will be supported. In addition, support of educational workshops and seminars is another part of this program. Signing of the memorandum of understanding will result in the development of scientific interactions between the two countries and will create an opportunity for the use of scientific capacities of the two countries.

Another part of the memorandum is exchanging researchers to make the increase of scientific cooperation between the two countries possible.

According to the report, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter has established a joint cooperation table with FAPESP to improve the domains of mutual activities.
