Innovative ideas and programs of new cycles of water field is the title of a challenge, the call of which was announced in cooperation with the water, drought, erosion, and environment technologies development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the call for innovative ideas and programs of new cycles of water field is published to take a step toward fighting water scarcity.

Researchers, technologists and industry owners can send their projects until March 18^th, 2020 and the best works will be selected and announced on April 9^th, 2020.

Four main topics of the event include modern water desalination systems, new industrial wastewater treatment methods, new steam recirculation systems and fog extraction, and the manufacture of monitoring equipment, monitoring and water quality sensors.

The main goal of the event is developing new technologies in these areas.

According to the call, a training course for top teams is planned. In addition to discussing the training of these teams, they are supported in areas such as workspace, investment and market and product commercialization.

As water scarcity crisis poses a serious challenge to the world, technological efforts to address it are also expanding. Currently, 700 million people on Earth are suffering from water scarcity, which is projected to increase by the next ten years. On the other hand, seas and oceans contain about 96 percent of the earth"s surface water, which can be used to improve dehydration. Of course, salinity of water must be eliminate to be usable. Desalination is a technological solution that is being addressed by the release of this technology development call.
