Now, we are about to hold the 3^rd national festival on medicinal herbs, natural products and traditional medicine of Iran. I can still remember the days that its first session hasn’t completely established. Suggestion of holding such an event was broached  by me in a meeting I had with Dr. Osareh. This idea was grown rapidly and with his exemplary seriousness and hardworking and effort, work’s preliminaries were prepared. Nevertheless, Neither Dr. Osareh nor I nor colleagues preparing the first session of this festival to be held didn’t think that this important issue would turn to an event that would satisfy many people and technical men and officials. Without exaggeration, none of us would imagine that such a weak sapling would become as effective and sturdy as it is today. This event made many talents which wore the color of tradition and oldness- in its today’s bad meaning- came out of the society and flourished. The concerned and heartsore people of this field found fresh air to breath in and saw an arena for saying always-new words. Those days, its propagation and culture-making jobs were done seriously and our colleagues utilized all facilities and helps of experts, researchers, media people and even normal citizens for propagating the importance of technologies related to medicinal herbs and traditional medicine and used what they had. Light beams were emitted to hidden and visible angles of knowledge-based economy and entrepreneurship ecosystem in this field and many words were talked about.

The medical sciences section involved in medicinal herbs and industrial agriculture more than before and achievements and skills came off the drawers and physical and mental records and were thrown on the circle of companionship and rivalry of related organizations.

Many might not believe but this medicinal herbs’ and of course herbal medicines’ market grew with prosperity. Its export’s coin found value and many neighbors and non-neighbors demanded for the diversity of medicinal herbs products in the multicolor and four-seasonal Iran.

Statistics say that millions will use these products and thousands of jobs have been created in the country because of technologies related to medicinal herbs and traditional medicines. This is the very path that our culture and civilization and religion and science tell us and its lungs are compatible with its air.

Now we are in the year of “resistive economy, attempt and action” by counsel of the system’s grandees. We know very well that medicinal herbs and traditional medicine have serious and beautiful share in realization of this request. Medicinal herbs always have the sign of patience and care and last and contentment and traditional medicine caused by resistive and withstanding and bearing and wisdom.

I have no doubt that the 3^rd national festival on medicinal herbs, natural products and traditional medicine will leave valuable experiences for the current and future generations, experiences of immortality.
