According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs quoted by the news headquarter of the second national, cultural, and art festival of Made in Iran, Karami, the general secretary of the second national festival of Made in Iran, expressed on the press conference of the festival at the verge of the 40th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic revolution: three years ago, we started an activity in the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter at the national level so that strong steps are taken to support Iranian products, introduce knowledge-based economy to the society and mainstream a culture notion in production of contents to support domestic products. These acts are all emerged in the form of holding a festival entitled “Made in Iran”.
The Slogan of “Iranian must buy Iranian products” Must Become a Reality
Karami continued: the festival has aimed to reveal the hidden potential of the country so that the support of Iranian products and attention to our belongings are highlighted and division of labor of three sides of a triangle, meaning the government, consumers (people) and producers, is determined and reminded. By doing so, the slogan of “Iranian must buy Iranian products” will become a reality. In order to achieve this goal, the dignity of Iranian consumers must be appreciated, meaning that producers must manufacture high-quality products and honor the dignity of consumers by providing after-sale services. Therefore, Made in Iran seeks social demands to some extent. The government must act on supporting high-quality products and make the necessary standards and monitoring to determine laws in this regard.
The Art Programs of Made in Iran Will Be Implemented
The secretary of knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter stated: we must all help to achieve the goals of the event. From festival’s holders to media activists and artists, we all are part of a team and must cooperate with each other to promote the support of high-quality Iranian products.
Advisor to the vice president for science and technology affairs mentioned the support of the top works of the festival in the future projects, affirming: “Made in Iran” will be opened on December 25th and the exhibition of arts of the festival will be inaugurated in the house of artists. During the event, an exhibition of visual artists will be held on the topic of the event. In addition, workshops, movie screening, and poetry and poem-reading workshops are among other programs of the festival. Since the development plan for creative companies’ ecosystem is a part of the event, all winners can continue their activity as a creative company. The event will end on December 29th in Vahdat Hall by appreciating the top works.
The Participation of Visual Artists is more Intense than the Last Event
In the next part of the meeting, Masoud Shojaei Tabatabei, the specialized secretary of the visual arts section of the event, presented a report on the activities of this section, marking: holding “Made in Iran” is an important act to make a link between the artists of the country and the knowledge-based community and authorities. In this round of the event, artists sent their work in four visual sections. In total, 840 works were delivered to the visual arts section, 93, 305, 230, and 212 of which are related to illustration, posters, cartoon (caricature) and photography. However, the photography section of the festival was held in the form of the festival of photo of the year and winners received awards.
Support of Six Top Ideas Made in Iran
Alireza Daliri, the specialized secretary of the idea market section, mentioned that interesting ideas have been delivered to the event this year, asserting: in this round, we received 234 ideas, which were primarily assessed in terms of attractiveness, clarity, innovation, and cost estimation. After this stage, 67 ideas were selected and evaluated based on more serious criteria. Ultimately, 25 ideas reached the final evaluation stage, all of which had the ability to be supported and commercialized. In addition, all of the ideas had technological ideas that could enter the market.
Significant Growth in Number of Works Sent to the Audiovisual Section of “Made in Iran”
Shahab Esfandiari, the specialized secretary of the audiovisual section of the section festival of “Made in Iran”, expressed the promotional nature of the event due to presenting ideas that have never been seen, claiming: in the first round, IRIB was recognized as one of the cooperators of the event, which continued to this round with the difference of transferring the secretariat to the university of IRIB, which led to appropriate events in this regard. We have used the capacities of this higher education center so that the link between professors and production organizations could be made.
Development of Domestic Businesses in the Field of Digital Media
In addition, Ali Khanzadeh, the executive manager of the digital media section of the festival, declared: the issue of digital media is one of the most important foundations for development of domestic businesses and laying the foundation for occupation in the country. The works sent to this round of the event had a higher quality, compared to the previous round. From 264 works, 76 works were sent for final evaluation.
“Ghand Chin” Is Revealed
In the final section of the conference meeting, Mahdi Farajollahi, the executive secretary of the literature section, expressed that this part will be held in areas of poetry, story, and documentaries, stating: in this round, the short story section has been added to the festival, which has been greatly welcomed. In total, 500 arts were sent to the literature section, where a total of 30, 20, and 10 works were selected for final assessment in the sections of poetry, story, and documentaries, respectively. In the end, five works are selected in each section.
The second national, cultural and art festival of “Made in Iran” will be held December 25th-29th, 2018 with the goals of mainstreaming and content production for cyberspace related to the cycle of commercialization, entrepreneurship and knowledge-based economy, support of Iranian-made knowledge-based products and services, organizing excessive import and valuating high-quality Iranian products and services, and helping the branding of high-quality Iranian products. It should be noted that various sections of the festival include literature, visual arts, audiovisual economy, digital media and idea market and student section, which will be carried out by the efforts of the knowledge-based economy and culture-building technologies development headquarter and with the help of Parviz Karami, secretary of the mentioned headquarter.
Along with this event, the sixth exhibition of laboratory equipment and materials will be held December 24th-27th, 2018 in the international exhibition center.
