According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, vice president for science and technology affairs, who had a trip to Bushehr province this morning on the occasion of Fajr decade. In a meeting with professors, elites and knowledge-based activists of this province, Sattari mentioned that the main focus must be on relative provincial advantages and capabilities of human recourses in order to make the foundations for improved economy of the province. He expressed: innovation and formation of a basis for technology progress can cause significant improvement in the province and solve the problems observed in this region based on an innovative and new approach and strategy. Otherwise, our goals in this regard will not be achieved.

According to Sattari, the growth of knowledge-based companies requires an entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. He affirmed that change of approaches and more willingness toward technology businesses will have a positive impact on knowledge-based economy, adding: fortunately, a new approach has been created towards the knowledge-based economy in the province, which is a valuable step toward the formation of an entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem. In fact, creativity and innovation of human resources based on an entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem is the only way to achieve successful knowledge-based economy.

Vice chairman of the board of trustees of innovation and development fund marked that the law of supporting knowledge-based companies will facilitate the creation of a good basis for the formation of entrepreneurship ecosystem.

He mentioned that having trust in the abilities of newly graduated students is a necessity for economic growth and prosperity.

The president of Iranian national elites foundations also claimed that increased growth of the formation of new businesses will be associated with more presence of investors and serious economic improvements in the country. In this regard, startups have been successful in the formation of knowledge-based environment in the country.

Sattari asserted that government employment is a serious damage to innovation, adding: by defining occupation as government employment, we prevent the flourishing of innovations and ideas of our younger population since the main reason for their education is the provision of added value and wealth creation through knowledge and innovation of these individuals.

The vice president for science and technology considered the formation of an innovation system in Tehran as a model for paying attention to the capacity of the technology of provinces, expressing: soon, the innovation system of Tehran will initiate its activates and will announce that Tehran is not just the foundation for the growth of markets and malls, and it has a great potential for technology businesses. Therefore, it could be regarded as a model for other provinces.

President of the headquarters for the development of oil, gas and coal technologies pointed out the capacities of Bushehr province.

He mentioned that incubators and science and technology parks are the main location for the development of innovative companies, marking: many of these innovative centers, which are now established in universities, not only help these businesses through creating a physical location for them, but will also make the opportunity for activities in a technology atmosphere and provides strategies to better improve these businesses.

The president of the Iranian national elites foundation pointed out the increasing growth of involvement of elites in this regard and their activities in their own knowledge-based companies, which will result in accelerated creation of an entrepreneurship and innovative ecosystem.

According to Sattari, this involvement of elites in this area is one step toward the development of knowledge-based businesses with the help of the human resources of our country.

Sattari also discussed the role of creativity and innovation in capability of our countrys defense, and said: Bushehr has always been the defending our borders, and Khark has been recognized as the our strongest defensive fortress in history. This province is filled with courage and heroism, all of which indebted to those innovations and creativities that underlie durability against enemies.

In the beginning of this meeting, a number of elites, professors and technology-based business owners discussed their achievements and concerns.

According to this report, three ships of “Setareh Lian”, “Delvar 1” and “Ava Darya” came into operation in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs. 

In this ceremony, Sattari mentioned the importance of attention to and supporting of fishery technology activities in the form of knowledge-based companies, adding: we support the technology-based activities in the field of business based on laws of supporting knowledge-based companies. With respect to the local capacities of Bushehr, this region is one of our major priorities and technology activities in this area, especially in fishery, are supported.

During this trip to Bushehr, the vice president for science and technology started 323 gas project with a credit of 155 billion tomans.

Mostafa Salari, the governor of Bushehr, Ali Vatani, deputy of technology development, Parviz Karami, advisor to Iranian vice president for science and technology affairs, and Abdolmajid Shoja, vice president for legal and parliamentary affairs, accompanies Sattari on this trip.
