The Biotechnology Development Headquarters and the Export Development and Technology Exchange Corridor in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology are working to address the opportunities and challenges of the pharmaceutical industry with the help of international capacities. In this regard, the fifth joint trade meeting between Iran and Indonesia in the field of health will be held in cooperation with these two institutions. In this event, the challenges of the pharmaceutical industry will be discussed in a bilateral meeting and also new solutions will be presented.

The fifth joint Iran-Indonesia trade meeting in the field of health will be held on December 16, 2020 with the presence of Mostafa Ghanei, Secretary of the Biotechnology Development Headquarters in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology. Also, Agosdini Banen Sapta Nin Gezi, Deputy Minister of Distribution and Production of Medicines, and Koolthum Kumariani, Deputy Minister of Insurance and Financing of the Indonesian Ministry of Health, along with an Indonesian pharmaceutical activist attended the event. The Indonesian drug market is growing at an annual rate of 4.5%. At present, 21% of the Indonesian pharmaceutical market is owned by domestic companies and 11% is covered by foreign companies. Holding such events can facilitate the export of Iranian-based pharmaceutical products to this country.
