The vice president of science and technology affairs visited the MAPNA Turbine Engineering and Manufacturing Company (TUGA) and learned about the achievements and capabilities of this knowledge-based company in the area of producing gas turbines.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, visited various sections of TUGA Company, including designing, repair and maintenance, reverse engineering and achievements of this knowledge-based company in the area of producing gas turbine, reverse engineering of turbines and design and manufacture of turbine equipment.

As a part of MAPNA Group, TUGA Company is one of the suppliers of products and services related to turbines and other rotating equipment, supporting various domestic and foreign customers by providing services and equipment of this industry. In addition, this group meets a part of the industrial needs of the country related to turbine repair and equipment.

Entering the Aerial Industry

According to the CEO of this technological company, as one of the subcategories of MAPNA and with the aim of being turned into the largest economic agency in aerial industry, TUGA repairs, produces and provides reverse engineering of aviation engines. Today, this part of the company has attracted various individuals, including specialists and technicians in the field of aviation engines, by defining different sections of engineering design and reconstruction. Currently, 28 specialists are active in the company and it is predicted that more than 200 individuals will be recruited in the area of turbine and aviation engines in the near future. This technological company aims to model the designing of all pieces in various sections and improve and update turbines on various levels, such as temperature tolerance, alloy blade angle and turbine body cover, making efforts toward increasing the efficiency and function of country’s power industry.

Moreover, design of the new generation of these turbines has been performed by MAPNA, and one of the combined motors will be developed next year by TUGA Company.

Accompanied by Sheikh Zeinoddin, secretary of the exhibition and deputy of science and technology department, Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space administration, and Ghaderi Far, head of strategic technology development center, Sattari visited the capabilities of the knowledge-based TUGA company affiliated to MAPNA Co. in production of advanced gas turbines.
