According to the vice president for science and technology affairs, achieving international standards and compliance of products with quality criteria have always been among the challenges and concerns of knowledge-based companies. By providing the compliance license for the products and knowledge-based sign for these companies, we can expand their presence in the national and international markets.
According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, stated on the ceremony for granting the certificate of conformity and product to six products of four knowledge-based companies, which was held in the presence of Nayereh Pirouzbakht, head of the national standard organization of Iran: granting the certificate of conformity and product will lead to the creation of the proper market for these products.
Sattari confirmed: this event, which is held due to the interactions between the Vice-Presidency and the national standard organization of Iran, will be a great step toward the creating of market for knowledge-based companies that were able to receive the certificate of conformity and product and those who will be granted this license in the future.
President of the national elites foundation added: lack of presence of the necessary infrastructures for specific standards and presenting licenses are among the challenges faced by knowledge-based companies in order to be present in international markets and sell knowledge-based products. These standards are generally granted by foreign countries. In most cases, these confirmations are not provided for our knowledge-based companies.
According to Sattari, it is necessary for domestic knowledge-based companies to be present in the domestic and global markets based on international standards despite the fact that our national criteria are similar to the global criteria.

Sattari also asserted: with regard to this necessity, the topic of the certificate of conformity and product has been expressed and a new phenomenon has occurred in the country for the first time regarding the presenting of licenses based on knowledge. Fortunately, this was welcomed and supported by the national standard organization of Iran since the beginning.
In this ceremony, Nayereh Pirouzbakht, head of the national standard organization of Iran, pointed out the important position of knowledge-based companies in the economy of resistance of the country and talked about the necessity of having a standard structure based on the technological nature of these enterprises. In this regard, she affirmed: the economy of resistance is defined by various topics, one of which is internalization. In addition to special attention to this area, we need to acquire the qualitative standards accepted at the national level in line with the policies of the economy of resistance to increase productivity.
She continued: extraversion is regarded as the second most important topic in the policies of economy of resistance and is necessary for interactions in the international section.

Pirouzbakht pointed out that the products produced based on science and technology must be confirmed in terms of international standard index and quality, expressing: the knowledge-based products that comply with the index defined in the world will receive the conformity certificate. Lack of presence of this index will lead to the evaluation of these enterprises based on new or self-claimed index.
Pirouzbakht considered the presenting of the certificate of conformity and product and Danesh Mand sign as a step toward this path.
She continued: knowledge-based countries can ensure the compliance of the standards of their products with the standards of national and international market.
A Large Step toward the Development of Infrastructures for Knowledge-based Economy of the Country
In the beginning of the ceremony, Peyman Salehi, deputy of innovation and commercialization of the Vice-Presidency, pointed out the granting of the first certificate of conformity and product, marking: according to this license, the safety and performance features of a knowledgeable product are reviewed and adapted to the national and international standards as stated and available.
He continued: this certificate will be granted to products that have one or several national and international standards and the company is able to receive the certificate of conformity and product according to these standards.
Deputy of innovation and commercialization also pointed out the agreement on the granting of a product certificate of (COP).
Salehi pointed out the process of providing Danesh Mand certificate to knowledge-based companies, stating: these certificates did not exist in the country before. Today, knowledge-based companies help us enter the national and international markets with minimum time and costs by acquiring approvals of their products.
Deputy of innovation and commercialization asserted: the process for granting this certificate has been initiated by signing an agreement between the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs and the national standard organization, according to which providing the certificate of conformity and product will be put on the agenda of the organization in the process of confirmation and implementation of production of goods.
The deputy of innovation and commercialization regarded holding a briefing in the presence of 50 knowledge-based companies as a step toward raising the awareness of this companies about the importance of receiving the conformity certificate.
Registration of Products of More than 240 Knowledge-based Companies to Receive the Certificate of Conformity
Moslem Bayat, deputy of quality assessment of the national standard organization of Iran, stated: issuance of this certificate includes the total activities for ensuring the compliance of the products with the valid national and international standards.
He continued that there is no limitation in issuance of certificate of conformity and product of knowledge-based companies in the national standard organization, and companies that produce special products with unique features will receive the mentioned license after being confirmed by the national standard organization.
He pointed out the approval cooperation process between the Vice-Presidency and the national standard organization, stating that a total of 240 knowledge-based companies from more than 3400 companies have registered for this certificate. These companies have about two thousand and 400 products. With 163 companies and 2007 products, Tehran is ranked first, followed by Isfahan and Razavi Khorasan in terms of the number of products and companies.
He added: today, six products of knowledge-based companies received the certificate, among which three were able to receive the KB-COC license and three received the KB-COP certificate.
In this ceremony, which was held in the presence of the vice president for science and technology affairs, head of the national standard organization, deputy of innovation and commercialization, deputy of quality evaluation of the organization and managers of two complexes and a number of knowledge-based companies, the certificate for conformity and product was issued for six products of knowledge-based companies of Parto Negar Persia (PNP) Company, Tavan Pajouhan Fanavar Pasargad, Vebko Amir-Kabir Co., and Nanostructured Coating Co.
