According to the public relations and information center of the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs, Soorena Sattari- presidency vice president for science and technology affairs at the ceremony of beginning the executing operation of making the first phase of Iran Light Source (National Accelerator) carried out with the trip of the president and the cabinet to the province of Qazvin, mentioned the interaction of ministry of science, research and technology, the Fundamental Knowledge Institute and Atomic Energy organization with the vice presidency for science affairs in realizing the practicalization of the first phase of this knowledge boundary project and declared: The Iran Light Source facility (National Accelerator) is wonderful location and project which can cover a wide range of applied researches of knowledge boundary and interdisciplinary in future.

Sattari stated that this project is the most pioneer and distinct basic and fundamental researches of the country.

Chairman of the fund of fund of supporting researchers and technologists of the country also stated: Currently, 15 percent of the project has been completed which is promising scientific and researching development of the country in near future.

According to Sattari, the Iran Light Source (National Accelerator) project is a massive national technology project and is a big-scale synchrotron laboratory of the light source kind with 3 giga electron volt of energy, emissitivity of 280 picometersradian and the storage ring periphery of 528 meters and is of the advanced third generation.

The presidency vice president for science and technology affairs said in the following of this ceremony: Forming and teaching technical and professional groups of the Iran Light Source project have been done via cooperation with international top experts and valid scientific centers and world advanced accelerators.

At the ceremony of starting the executing operation of building the first phase of Iran Light Source, Mohammad Javad Larijani- head of the fundamental knowledge institute said that the start of this project would attract a considerable number of domestic and foreign elites and scientists.

He stated that this project would bring a big mutation and empower the country scientifically.

Head of the fundamental knowledge institute appreciated the presidency vice presidency for science and technology affairs’ direct supports.

Larijani also expressed: 15 percent of this project have been practicalized and by creating workshops in Tehran and Qazvin, training expert forces and completing the executing phases, we are fully ready to execute its main ring.

After this speech, the ceremony of starting the executing operation of making the first phase of Iran Light Source was started by presidency vice president for science and technology affairs in Qazvin and also starting the executive operation of ITC and CGI content generation state was started on the command of Dr. Hasan Rouhani- the president via video conference.
