More than 70 scientific elites were selected from 30 universities of the country by Iran Science Elites Federation on the fourth round of scientific elite selection.

The 30 universities and scientific centers that have recruited the scientific elites of the country are established in 13 provinces of the country. From 76 elites, 50 individuals were selected from universities of Tehran Province.

In addition, 76 scientific elites were selected from 1350 researchers in 2019, who were evaluated based on the approved regulations.

One of the important criteria for elite selection was assessing their articles published in valid international journals during 2016-2018.

The list of the journals is available on the website of Iran Science Elites Federation, and researchers who published an article in one of the journals or a journal affiliated to one of the domestic centers of Iran during the mentioned time were assessed. 

Scientific Centers with the Highest Number of Scientific Elites

Among the centers, Sharif University of Technology had the highest number of selected elites (13 people), followed by Zanjan University of Medical Sciences (nine people), the Institute for Research in Fundamental Sciences (seven people), and University of Tehran (six people).

Supportive Packages

The Vice-Presidency has predicted diverse supportive packages to support the scientific elites. Criticism research, strategic technologies laboratory network grants, support for attendance at accredited international congresses, and post-doctoral research attraction support are among the supportive packages considered to develop research and technology by elites in the country.

The goal of the national elite program is supporting the researchers who have currently have valid research achievements.

It has been attempted to make a competitive space by holding the event of scientific elite selection every year.
