Innovation Center of Agricultural and Animal Sciences of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences was inaugurated in the presence of Sorena Sattari, Vice President of Science and Technology. This center has been established in an area of ​​3,300 square meters in Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences and has been equipped with the support of the Vice President of Science and Technology. The center provides space for more than 80 innovative teams and technology activists.

On the sidelines of the reopening of the center, the Vice President of Science and Technology told reporters: "Every time I travel to Mazandaran province, I see good achievements in various technological fields." Over the years, abandoned buildings and unused buildings have become centers of growth and innovation.

 Sattari continued: The development process of knowledge-based companies in Mazandaran province has also progressed well; But it is still far from the real capacity in the province. Because Mazandaran has talented, creative and highly knowledgeable young people who we must help and facilitate the path of commercialization and turning their ideas into business.

The head of the National Elite Foundation, referring to the good activity of knowledge-based companies in the Crohn's days, said: "Iran responded to its needs from the beginning of the disease in the country due to the existence of sanctions, relying on the scientific ability of youth and knowledge-based and creative companies." During this period, there was no shortage in the country in the supply of consumables, medicines, diagnostic kits, medical equipment, etc.

Sattari also stated: In the field of production of corona vaccine, knowledge-based companies have entered well and now several private companies have applied for production licenses.

According to the Vice President of Science and Technology, one of the challenges in the country is the lack of proper development of technologies in the field of agriculture, which we must solve with the entry of knowledge-based companies. In any technological field where the number of knowledge-based companies is small, there are more problems and we are more vulnerable.

The head of the Biotechnology Development Headquarters continued: "Technology has not entered the field of agriculture well." The number of knowledge-based companies in this field should be increased. One of our priorities in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology is to ensure food security with the help of technology and creative companies. In the days when sanctions threaten the security of the country, we need knowledge-based companies to enter the field of food security.

Currently, there are about 20 innovation technology units in the field of agricultural and animal sciences of Mazandaran University of Medical Sciences, of which 13 units are located in Mazandaran.

These companies market their various achievements in the field of health, including vaccine refrigerators with the ability to maintain temperature for a long time, radon gas detectors, plant-based products, compost and biocompatible fertilizers in the production of raw materials, diagnostic kits, medical equipment and health.
