According to the reporter of the Communication and Information Center in the Vice Presidency of Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, in this ceremony, the presidents of the universities of basic science in Zanjan, Sharif and Tarbiat Modarres were also honored, who had the highest score in the 9th edition of the country's scientific leaders.

In this ceremony, Saeed Sarkar, the former secretary of the Nano Technology Development Headquarters, was also honored with a plaque and gifts for his remarkable actions and role in this headquarters and the establishment and implementation of several courses of Iran's Scientific Leaders Program.

Since 2015, to support scientific leaders to achieve scientific authority, increase scientific quality in the country, and help the advancement of reliable research by researchers at the international level, the event of Iran's scientific leaders is held every year under the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology.

The selection of scientific leaders is done with valid scientific indicators and in a competitive program, and every year a group of reputable researchers from universities and scientific and research institutions of the country who have outstanding scientific publications after being recognized in various formats such as critical studies, grants for the services of the laboratory network of technologies Strategy and support for the recruitment and employment of postdoctoral researchers are supported.

In the 9th edition of this ceremony, which was held on Sunday evening, November 10, at Espinas Hotel in Tehran, 57 winners of this year's Iran Scientific Excellence Program were introduced and honored.

The winners of this annual program are selected from among the researchers of the universities, research institutes and scientific and research institutions of the country based on the regulations for the selection and support of Iran's scientific leaders.
