According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the specialized meeting for familiarization with export financing methods was held with the support of the Vice-Presidency and in the presence of manager of Export Development Bank of Iran and Export Development and Technology Exchange Fund focusing on the topic of buyer & seller credit facility, before and after transport, and currency and rial guarantees.
Hosseinian pointed out the service provision of the bank to knowledge-based companies, stating: bank services are presented in the form of currency and rial services, provision of credit facilities to exporters, and provision of rial and currency facilities from the sources of the National Development Fund.
Mentioning the agreement signed by the Vice-presidency in line with the support of export of knowledge-based companies, he affirmed: meanwhile, facility provision to knowledge-based companies continues based on the concluded contracts.
Head of the office of export of goods and investment in the country of the export development bank of Iran reminded: facilities provided by our bank were estimated at 518 billion rials in 2016, which increased to 940 billion rials in 2017 and reached 423 billion rials at the end of the year with a 12% rate.
According to the head of the office of export of goods and investment, the period of facilities of export development bank for consuming products and services was one month to three years, whereas it was three, three-five, one-three, and three and higher years for intermediate goods, investment goods, technical and engineering services, and for investment, respectively. In this regard, he continued: collaterals required for these facilities include irreplaceable collaterals, bonds, government guarantees, guarantees of export guarantees and research and technology funds, research and technology funds, shares, deposits, bank guarantees, proposals and enforceable contracts. Hosseinian defined the Bank"s facility in three parts of mid-term, long-term and short-term, adding: each section will be provided proportional to the needs of knowledge-based companies in various sections of their export process.
In the beginning of the meeting, Estiri, general manager of International Business Development Office, reviewed the support provided by the Vice-Presidency for financing the knowledge-based exports, asserting: all knowledge-based companies with an export plan can use the facilities of the topic of joint cooperation concluded between the Vice-Presidency and Saderat Development Bank by interacting with the headquarter for management development and resources and announcing their request for receiving asset facilities. This meeting was one of the series of knowledge-based business meetings held by the efforts of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs.
