Emphasis on Development of Science and Technology Collaborations of Iran and Iraq in the Era of Returning to Security to the Region

Deputy minister for international affairs and head of the center for international interactions of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs met with the foreign policy advisor to the speaker of the Iraqi parliament.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Ali Morteza Birang, deputy minister for international affairs and head of the center for international interactions of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, had a meeting with Ahmad Roshdi Abdollah, foreign policy advisor to the speaker of the Iraqi parliament and presented a report on various programs and supports of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs for improvement of the technological entrepreneurial ecosystem of the country, such as support of knowledge-based companies.

In this meeting, Birang mentioned the serious and comprehensive support of development of businesses of knowledge-based companies in domestic and international markets, emphasizing the efforts made by the Vice-Presidency for development and growth of export of these companies to regional companies, such as Islamic nations.

On the other hand, the foreign policy advisor to the speaker of the Iraqi parliament pointed out the return of security to the region by elimination of the ISIS terroristic group, stating: given the return of safety and security to the region, Iraq has aimed to more seriously follow up the issue of empowering universities, students and graduates of this country with an emphasis on facilitation of activities of active private companies in the area of top technologies.

He continued: the government of Iraq has a great tendency toward the development of bilateral cooperation in science and technology with Iran, and we hope that these collaborations be developed in all aspects.

 

The foreign policy advisor to the speaker of the Iraqi parliament, who was hosted by the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs of Iran to this country, visited the Pardis technology park, Royan research center, Cinnagen Co. and some active companies in the field of stem cells to learn more about the development of science and technology in Iran.
