A memorandum of understanding was signed to develop creative and digital companies in the field of cultural heritage and tourism to turn the capacities of soft technologies and cultural industries into employment.

The tripartite memorandum of understanding was signed between the Culture and Knowledge-Based Economy and Soft and Creative Industries Culture Headquarters, the Digital Economy and Technology Development Headquarters in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tourism to support business innovation, facilitate digital and creative work in the fields of tourism, handicrafts and cultural heritage to create jobs, produce products from innovative ideas and create wealth from these areas.

Parviz Karami, Head of the Culture and Knowledge-Based Economy and Development of Soft and Creative Industries Headquarters in the Vice Presidency of Science and Technology, said at the ceremony, emphasizing the role of soft technologies and creative companies in the country's innovation ecosystem: Creating added value and creating employment is provided by the rich cultural and artistic resources of our country.

Referring to the launch of the Creative Industries Research and Technology Fund to support the prosperity of businesses in this field, Karami continued: "This fund, with the support of the Vice President for Science and Technology and the participation of the private sector, professionally supports creative companies." This fund, like other research and technology funds, has been set up with the participation of the private sector to pave the way for an innovation environment, this time especially in creative companies and cultural industries.

Adviser to the Vice President of Science and Technology, referring to the support of the Innovation and Prosperity Fund and research and technology funds for creative companies, said: "Three research and technology funds, in particular, have taken on the task of supporting creative industries and have allocated significant investment." have given. The Export Development Fund has allocated 100 billion rials for creative companies and also 100 billion rials for the third type of knowledge base. With the support of the Fund for Research and New Technologies, 100 billion rials were allocated to creative businesses and a credit line of 100 billion rials was allocated to the third type of knowledge-based companies.

 Karami stated that the creation of creative houses based on the private sector is another step towards supporting the creative industries: the creation of creative houses in 9 provinces of the country has been completed and the launch of these houses for all provinces Ecological and cultural and innovative capacities are on the agenda of the Vice President for Science and Technology. Based on the international organizations' definitions of creative industries, we strive to support the capacities of this field based on a local model based on national and international standards.
