This morning, the vice president for science and technology affairs traveled to Gachsaran and visited the science and technology projects of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, traveled to Gachsaran this morning, accompanied by Gholamreza Tajgardoun, a member of the parliament. After visiting the cemetery of martyrs of this city and paying tributes to these honorable people, Sattari participated in a meeting with the academics, oil authorities and industrial experts of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province and Gachsaran city.

Given the fact that establishment of a science and technology park in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province and Gachsaran city has always been one of the concerns of people of Gachsaran and Basht due to its effect on occupations of the area. In this one-day travel, the vice president for science and technology affairs visited the under construction project of the technology park of the province.

Visiting the under construction project of the technology park of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province, the vice president for science and technology affairs regarded the establishment of technology park of the province to be significantly important. In this regard, he stated: given the significant role of science and technology park in occupation of the province, we hope that this project is soon finished.

Sattari addressed the present provincial authorities in the meeting, asserting: Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province is the only province with no technology park, and people and technologists of this province have waited more than 10 years for a technology park. If there is no intention, please inform the people so that their situation is clear.

Sattari believes that support of knowledge-based companies by the government can decrease the risk of investment in these enterprises.

The vice president for science and technology affairs regarded the mean growth of knowledge-based companies at the global level to be 10% on a weekly basis, adding: lack of having such growth in a country will definitely lead to many problems.

Sattari also asserted: development of technology parks in the country is one of the most important achievements of the 11th government.

According to Sattari, the majority of youth aged below 30 years are active in the technology parks of the country.

Meanwhile, the president of Iran national science foundation expressed: Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad can grow if conversion industries are established in this province.

Pointing out that universities are the basis for movement and dynamics in different areas, he marked: formation of proper foundations can lead to the occupation of more than six thousand university students of Gachsaran.

Sattari also stated that universities must not rely on tuition, asserting: 60-70% of budget of universities must be supplied by sell of technology.

Mentioning the role of the private sector in research tasks, Sattari stated: innovation can be created by empowering the private sector.

In another part of his speech, Sattari expressed: “providing low-profit facilities” and tax and customs exemptions are some of the services provided by the Vice-Presidency for knowledge-based companies.

The vice president for science and technology affairs also pointed out that Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad has significant capacities in the areas of oil, gas and medical plants, use of which is considerably essential.

During the meeting, Hassan Norouzi, head of the management and planning organization of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad announced the establishment of an innovation center and energy field technology (oil and gas) in Gachsaran.

He added: the innovation and development center for technologies in energy area (oil and gas) will be established according to a concluded contract with an industrial company in Gachsaran.

According to Sattari, formation of 50 innovation centers and four knowledge-based companies are some of the measures taken during two years in the area of technology development in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.

 

Other plans of the vice president for science and technology affairs in his one-day travel to Gachsaran were attending a meeting with industrial experts and academics and visiting the achievements of elites of Gachsaran.
