In order to create interaction between fields of study and establish the infrastructures for contemplation by professors, scientists and students, the national conference of “role of interdisciplinary studies in development of science and entrepreneurship in the country” will be held.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, evaluation of necessity, importance, application and interdisciplinary requirements in development of science, determining the application and role of universities in interdisciplinary development in the framework of the macro science plan, evaluation of interdisciplinary role in development of entrepreneurship and occupation creation, describing the interdisciplinary role in improvement of scientific communities, assessment of interdisciplinary role in realization of social responsibility of university, recognition of challenges, barriers and solutions for interdisciplinary development are among the topics and goals of this specialized and scientific meeting.

This conference will be held in the middle of November in University of Tehran by Alborz Campus of Tehran University and with the cooperation of universities, campuses and faculties.

The authorities for holding this national conference believe that interdisciplinary discourse will provide a condition for eliminating the empty space between science through creation of interactions between the fields in addition to eliminating the barriers and increasing the effectiveness of academic environments.

According to the authorities of the conference in the past three decades, human beings are faced with new issues, such as health, environment and necessity of using energy, solving each of which requires the combination of scientific fields.

The responsible individuals for this gathering hope to describe the role of interdisciplinary research in the development of science and entrepreneurship and provide a proper model for interdisciplinary development by extensive attendance of researchers, professors, and students to evaluate academic structures, the method of science-friendly communication, and social-cultural issues as the most important challenges and barriers to the interdisciplinary activities.
