The 12^th international congress on “addiction knowledge” will be held so that researchers could present and share their views and findings in the ara of the latest research activities in the addiction field from the perspective of basic, clinical and social sciences, as well as rights, effects and outcomes of drug abuse.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Mohammad Taghi Joghataei, head of the 12^th international congress on “Addiction Knowledge”, stated: holding this international congress is a great opportunity for evaluating scientific and specialized activities in the field of addiction and presenting a constructive approach in the area of policy-making, prevention and treatment of this social phenomenon.

Joghataei also pointed out that this meeting will consider all aspects related to addiction knowledge, such as cognitive and treatment interventions, expressing: the cognitive outcomes of addictions and cognitive rehabilitation methods are among the most important topics of the international congress of “Addiction Knowledge”.

Joghataei reminded: on the 12^th international annual congress of “Addiction Knowledge”, several scientific gatherings will be held as well, and researchers will present their opinions and research findings on future opportunities in the areas of prevention, treatment, rehabilitation and research.

He also pointed out: in this international congress, awards will be given the young researchers and scholars in various fields.

It is notable that in this international congress, in addition to scientific and specialized scholars of the country, a number of researchers and experts of relevant scientific fields will come from European and American countries and Australia to present lectures.

This congress will be held by the center for cellular and molecular research of Iran University of Medical Sciences and with the support of cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter and a number of medical, research and executive centers.

The international congress of “Addiction Knowledge” will be held for three days during September 5^th-7^th, 2018 at the location of Razi international conference hall of Tehran.
