According to an agreement between Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs and Social Security Organization, the contracts of knowledge-based companies in the field of production of knowledge-based services and products will be exempted from payment of contract premiums.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Seyed Mohammad Sahebkar, head of the center for knowledge-based companies and institutes, stated: according to the agreement between Vice-Presidency for Science and Technology Affairs and Social Security Organization, the new circular of 12/14 for knowledge-based companies was issued by the social security organization, according to which the contracts of knowledge-based companies in the area of production of knowledge-based products and services will be exempted from payment of contract premiums.

The faculty member of the technology research center pointed out the necessity of formation of an appropriate ecosystem for knowledge-based activities and facilitation of new businesses, affirming: according to previous regulations, companies typically paid 67.17% of the contract value as insurance of the contracts to the social security organization. In this regard, implementation of this circular will lead to reduced costs of knowledge-based companies in concluding contracts in the area of knowledge-based, leading to more flourishing in this area.

Sahebkar continued: according to the new circular issued by the social security organization with the title of computation of insurance right of contracts of knowledge-based companies and institutes (with the No. 12/14), the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs will be responsible for evaluating and confirming knowledge-based contracts and activities.

Secretary of evaluation working group for knowledge-based companies explained about the method of sending requests by knowledge-based companies, asserting: knowledge-based companies can send their request via the website of bizservices.ir and upload the relevant documentations, including the whole contract and employer letter of inquiry about certificate of clearance of their account, so that the confirmation letter could be issued by the favorable agency of the social security organization after the evaluation.
