Call for the 12^th international festival of 100-second movies with the special section of “Made in Iran” is announced.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, this round of the festival will be held in Tehran in March 2018 by presenting the special section of “Made in Iran” to support Iranian products and with the topic of ethics and lifestyle in two sections of completion and path of experience in the form of documents, stories and animations. However, the world cinema competition will be held for non-Iranian participants as well.

The 12^th round of this festival has been considered important and contains the topics of support of Iranian products (made in Iran), support of Iranian knowledge-based products and services, culture of production of high-quality Iranian products, national assessment and public support of high-quality knowledge-based Iranian products, destructive effects of foreign products, excessive and illegal imports (goods smuggling), introducing new businesses and startups, production of wealth from science and technology and defining the knowledge-based economy. In addition to attending the national competition section, enthusiasts of the field can participate in this part as well. Evaluations will be carried out separately and there will be separate awards.

In definition provided in this call, a 100-second movie is a complete movie with all characteristics of a movie and by relying on two components of brevity and creativity. Therefore, it is neither an advertisement, nor a clipart or a part of a longer movie. A 100-second movie is a new and appropriate media for current tools that has a significant impact in the fast-paced modern world, where just a few seconds could attract the attention of unobtrusive audience and not only transfer new concepts and messages, but also provides aesthetic pleasures.

Enthusiasts of this field can send their world until January 21^st 2018. In addition, the works entering the festival will be announced on February 9^th 2018.

The 12^th international festival of 100-second movies will be held February 27^th-29^th, 2018 by the efforts of the art area and with the support of the knowledge-based economy and culture building development headquarter.
