The Tehran Innovation Network has been created to increase synergy among the components of innovation ecosystem in the country and has aimed to improve the share of knowledge-based economy in the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the innovation and technology ecosystem in Iran includes elements such as startups, knowledge-based and technological companies, investors, venture capitals, science and technology affairs, and growth centers and has had an acceptable formation in the last few years. However, synergy among these components have been neglected, which delays achieving outputs of the processes. Therefore, the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs established “Tehran Innovation Network” in Pardis Technology Park.

According to Mohammad Mahdi Jahan Bozorgi, manager of Tehran Innovation Network, this network has been established with the mission of synergy and development of cooperation among the components of innovation ecosystem of the country with the goal of enhancing the share of knowledge-based economy. Therefore, the network has put networking and facilitating the relationships between the components of the innovation ecosystem on its agenda.

Pointing out that Tehran Innovation Network is a third generation social network, Jahan Bozorgi affirmed: this is called the development and networking for creation of a network society since in these networks, we do not just focus on the development of actual and virtual space and the society is simultaneously formed from the components of these two spaces.

Synergy occurs by placing individuals, groups, companies and active institutions in the country"s innovation ecosystem in a social network and the communication between these elements and the provision of services to each other, as well as the efforts to progress and to benefit from the knowledge, technological and innovative achievements of other members.

Moreover, in the real world, the active organizations in the innovation ecosystem communicate with each other for various reasons, such as innovation events, collaborations, and the creation of collaborative working groups, which leads to increased collaborations. In fact, this network uses its full potential for communication between these elements.

The Tehran Innovation Network supports all events that somehow improve the innovation ecosystem. Some events have no history or must be considered in a special way. Therefore, we pay more attention to them. Among the most important players of the innovation ecosystem are startups, innovative individuals, idea owners, and individuals with top talents. Some projects aimed at promoting and empowering these individuals and groups are more likely to be supported by the Tehran Innovation Network.

Independent Identity of Startup Teams  

Among actual individuals of this network, we can refer to innovators, inventors, top talents, idea owners, students, professors, and actual members of the private and public organizations, as well as knowledge-based and creative companies.

According to the manager of Tehran Innovation Network, teams will soon be identified on this network and will be seen as an independent member. The goal of this network is to maximize the benefits of private rehabilitator in its development and strictly abstain from traditional government structures and procedures.
