Iman Eftekhari, the head of Iran national science fund, announced the doubling of support of researchers and technologists of the Vice-Presidency.

Eftekhari also regarded most activities of the fund in various fields, such as supporting research, post-doctoral projects, PhD dissertations, support of scientific events, research seats, grants, and support of development of innovation centers.

He also affirmed: the foundation has attempted to create a suitable balance and attitude proportional to the capacity of science and research centers in terms of science production, research and technology. Therefore, issues such as creating diversity in the type of activities and services, improving the quality, following goals and assessing the research are the serious approaches of the center.

Pointing out the new programs of the fund, Eftekhari asserted: defining various programs, such as Chalesh, Pishgaman, Misagh, and Pishtazan, are new strategies of the fund. The main goal of these projects are forming research groups, increasing their support and providing effective support. For instance, Misagh program was defined to have a special view of humanities and basic sciences based on the content of the statement of the second step of the revolution. This project receives proposals on six topics of lifestyle, family, economy of resistance, tourism, virtual space, and citizenship rights.
