According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Sorena Sattari, the vice president for science and technology affairs, was a guest at Amirkabir University. Today, Sattari inaugurated five innovation centers and two specialized accelerators so that the university takes another step toward the formation of an innovation region.

During the ceremony, the vice president for science and technology affairs talked about the important and effective role of innovation centers in reaching ideas to the market and creating added value, mentioning: with its presence, the Vice-Presidency has supported the development of the innovation ecosystem to pave the way for innovative teams, innovation centers and accelerators and witness the improvement of the innovation and technology ecosystem.

Sattari talked about the welcoming of the space by students and completion of some of the innovation centers, as well as the serious evolution of universities, asserting: the atmosphere of innovation and knowledge-based economy has only recently begun in the country, but remarkable social and cultural developments have been made in a short time.

The president of the national elites foundation mentioned that the knowledge-based economy is the origin of serious advancements in various areas in the country, affirming: as an inseparable part of the innovation ecosystem, academics realize this advancement with academic innovation. In addition, innovation centers and regions will realize the formation of smart cities, and the capital has a remarkable capacity to realize this issue.

Three Steps to Become a Third-generation University

In another part of the event, Ahmad Motamedi, the head of Amirkabir University, regarded the formation of this innovation system to fit the movement of the university toward becoming a third-generation university.
