The president of the 13^th national conference and the 9^th international conference on innovation and technology management introduced the main topics of this year’s conference, expressing: the main topic of this year is the role of technology and innovation management in improvement of national resilience and sustainable development.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the 13^th national conference and the 9^th international conference on innovation and technology management was started this morning at Shahid Beheshti University in the presence of Manouchehr Manteghi, the chairman of the national space and advanced transportation administration, and some guests from other countries.

During the technological event, Manteghi talked about the reasons for selecting the topic of role of innovation and technology management in improvement of national resilience and sustainable development, adding: Iran faces various challenges, such as unexpected events, man-made challenges, and challenges related to the development of emerging technologies and must find the right way to manage these challenges.

He discussed current and future considerations for resilient development of the country, macroeconomic trends of technology and sustainable development and sustainable development, and the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

According to Manteghi, other topics of the conference include the role of startup ecosystem in sustainable development, importance of diversity (cultural, social, and technical) in resilience innovation and development, and the role of state, semi-governmental and private sector in development of national capacity for innovation and creative industries and social innovation.

The chairman of the national space and advanced transportation administration also marked: the conference seeks to increase international technological cooperation in the area of sanctions and development in the role of standards in the development and maturity of enterprise-level innovation management.

He continued: in this year"s conference, we will also address topics such as technology strategic management, intellectual property management, R&D management, innovation management, and new product development, knowledge management in service of technology development, open innovation, and innovation and commercialization of knowledge and technology networks.

The president of the 13^th national conference and the 9^th international conference on innovation and technology management pointed out the holding of 11 specialized panels, three article presentation panels, and seven educational workshops during the event, affirming: with the coordination made, five foreign guests have come to the conference to present their articles, hold a panel and submit an article.

Pointing out the 17% growth in article presentation in the conference, Manteghi declared: last year, six papers were presented orally at the conference, and this year the trend grew to 10.
