Chairman of Iran national space administration stated: one of the major needs of drone industry in the country is creation of a large market by establishing knowledge-based companies.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Manouchehr Manteghi, chairman of Iran national space administration, stated about the needs in the drone area of the country: two main obstacles in this field include security issues and lack of a large market for this applicable industry.

He added: the security issue can be eliminated by issuing specific licenses. However, no acceptable result has been obtained in terms of formation of a market for this industry.

According to Manteghi, formation of a market for the drone industry in the country will be possible by establishing knowledge-based companies, which requires improvement.

Chairman of Iran national space administration asserted: for instance, drones can be used in assessment of the environment, urban areas, forests and mines, which must be introduced in the form of cooperation agreement with users of these services.

In another part of his speech, he expressed: knowledge-based companies can be designed with lower costs and higher qualities for customers of the field.
