The foundation for accelerating the audit process of knowledge-based medical equipment will be provided during a meeting and with the cooperation of office of medical equipment of ministry of health and stem cells technologies and sciences development headquarter.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, the 12^th meeting of the workgroup of knowledge-based companies of the stem cells technologies and sciences development headquarter was held in the presence of Amir Ali Hamidieh, secretary of this headquarter, general director of medical equipment office of ministry of health, secretary of strategic council for development of stem cells technologies, manager of technology, commercialization and market of this headquarter and representatives from more than 35 active companies in this area.

In this meeting, secretary of stem cells technologies and sciences development headquarter provided some explanations on efforts dedicated by faculty members of ministry of health and science in order to create knowledge-based companies and medical equipment. In addition, the general director of medical equipment office of food and drug organization, who has received this post recently, asked for more cooperation in this area to solve the problems of relevant companies.

Alireza Sho’a Hasani, manager of technology, commercialization and market of the stem cells technologies and sciences development headquarter presented a report on the current situation of service and product market of stem cell in the world.

Following that, Mohammad Amirkhani, manager of the strategic council of stem cells technologies development headquarter, pointed out the activities performed by this headquarter in cooperation with authorities of provinces to support the production and write the first regulation for cellular productions, expressing hope about this area and asserting: a proper framework must also be created in the area of clinical services to provide services and products and also make knowledge-based companies capable to improve by broadening the regulations of this field.

During this meeting, representatives of active knowledge-based companies in the field of stem cells and regenerative medicine expressed their problems in acquiring relevant licenses for medical equipment. At the end, Dr. Hamidieh appreciated the authorities of efforts of food and drug association, especially medical equipment office, and announced that the stem cells technologies development headquarter will support them with more than a thousand faculty members, who have been turned into a network, so that the scientific body is provided to solve the problems of companies.
