The Iranian national science foundation has supported the international registration of 110 inventions.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, supporting the innovation and creativity of researchers and the youth of the country has made the Iranian national science foundation establish a working group with the title of invention registration. In this regard, the foundation has initiated providing services to inventors of the country in terms of international registration of interventions. This working group facilitates patent registration in intellectual properties offices outside the country.

According to Nosratollah Zargham, the president of the Iranian national science foundation, reported the increased number of inventions supported by the foundation from 86 to 110, 28% of which have commercialized. In addition, 267 inventions are in file stage and will soon enter the administrative stage.

Support of patent registration is a type of incentive to individuals working in this area. In addition, promotion of culture of registering research findings is another result of this act. Therefore, considering the importance of this issue, the foundation is active in the area of international patent registration, in a way that an improvements have been detected in this area every year. 32 out of 100 patent registrations have been carried out by the foundation this year. In addition, during the first nine months of the year, there has been 225% growth in patent registration (research project commitment).
