Until 2019, about 4200 articles with the address of at least one of the Iranian institutes have been published in journals supported by the elite federation of the Vice-Presidency, thereby showing an acceleration in the growth of these articles since 2016.

The elite federation has been created to support top elites in the country. Since 2015, the federation has introduced a list of valid journals to motivate researchers to publish high-quality scientific achievements. In addition, the federation financially supports the article publication of researchers. The number of journals was 62 at first, which increased to 114 after assessments.

Publication of 4200 Articles

Until 2019, about 4200 articles with the address of at least one of the Iranian institutes have been published in journals supported by the elite federation of the Vice-Presidency. While articles have been published in valid journals such as JACS and PRL by different researchers of Sharif and Tehran universities in 1985 and 1986, the regular and constant growth in this field occurred in 1997.

In this year, 10 articles were published by Iranians in top journals. In addition, most articles were published in physics group journals such as PRD and PRB. Moreover, most articles in the chemistry field were published in Anal. Chem journal.

Nature Journals

While more than 90 articles have been published by Iranian researchers in sub-journals of nature publications, only 14 Iranian articles have been published in nature journal, which is the most valid journal in this field.

Science Publications

There are three sub-journals in the field of science publications, where 27 Iranian articles have been published.

Other journals include PRL, JACS, and PNAS, which are published by the Publications of the American Academy of Physics and Chemistry and the Academy of Sciences.

Cash Research and Grants

The elite federation has provided a variety of support packages to support scientific excellence. Granting a research grant of between 200-500 million Rials, grant"s use of strategic technologies lab network services and recruitment of a postdoctoral researcher are part of this support.
