Technological Needs of Fermentation Industries Will Be Identified and Supplied
Ethanol and yeast industry is one of the mother industries in the field of biotechnology. However, this industry has yet to find its actual place in Iran and remains one of the missing circles of the field despite its proper capacities.
The biotechnology development headquarter has aimed to hold the specialized event of technological needs of fermentation industries to recognize the capacities existing in the industry in the country.
Ethanol and yeast producing industrial units guarantee the entrance of the country into the field of mass production of beneficial products as mother biological industries. The bioethanol industry is the country"s strategic need and the gateway to industrial biotechnology.
Today, the fermentation processes of agricultural products (especially sugarcane molasses) are incomplete and produce a large volume of semi-processed materials, as waste and effluent, and addresses a range of environmental and economic problems. Removing economic and environmental barriers to the development of the fermentation industry and the production of ethanol and yeast is crucial.
In this context, the biotechnology development headquarter will hold the event of “technological needs of yeast industries” at Iran national innovation fund since March 11th, 2020.
All researchers, technologists and owners of knowledge-based companies can send their projects to the environment working group of the headquarter until March 1st, 2020. For more information, please refer to http://biodc.isti.ir/?fkeyid=&siteid=1&pageid=1528&newsview=49290.
