The president of Iran national science foundation considered the programs of Bonyan, Labeyk, Saadat, Pishtazan, Chalesh, Pishgaman and Misagh as the new and strategic supportive programs of the foundation that are carried out with the goal of supporting large group projects and forming new research groups of researchers and young elites.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, Iman Eftekhari, the president of Iran national science foundation, balanced support for research and helping to produce strategic knowledge and technologies is the fund"s most important mission. In this regard, he stated: supporting the development of demand-driven research, strengthening inter-institutional collaborations for the development of science and technology, and supporting the development of sectoral and regional research capabilities in the country are important strategies to achieve the objectives of the Fund.

He added: request registration on the system, screening process, in-person and virtual arbitration, review in the specialized workgroup, approval in the specialized committee, and contract recording with the researcher are among the steps in the process of reviewing the research request in this fund. In addition, diversity, quality, equilibrium, multiplicity, goal-setting, and research preparedness are among the most important new supportive approaches.

The president of Iran national science foundation pointed out the presence of 20 active working groups in the foundation, some of the largest of which are technical workshops on engineering, medicine, basic sciences, agriculture, intergroup and humanities.

Pointing out the share of different provinces of the country regarding the research projects of the foundation, he marked: in 2013, about 58% of the sources of the foundation remained in Tehran, which decreased to 52% in 2017. We hope that the share of Tehran be decreased to 40% in the future and share of other provinces be increased to 60%.

Eftekhari considered the Bonyan, Labeyk, Saadat, Pishtazan, Chalesh, Pishgaman and Misagh as the new and strategic supportive programs held with the goal of supporting the research of large groups, scientific production of Iran, forming new research groups encompassing young elites, collective solving of large technological and social projects, supporting interpersonal studies and support of top research proposals in the fields of humanities and basic sciences.

Mentioning the cooperation between the foundation and countries of Russia, China, Austria, Germany, Japan, and world research organization, he affirmed: the number of post-doctoral researchers supported to support PhD graduates has so far reached nearly 1,000.

The Iran national science foundation explained the details of fun learning plan with the goal of leaning while having fun and talked about the special effect of industrial academics of Isfahan in continuing the project, adding: in this national plan, anyone can present a scientific topic to people in attractive ways.
