The cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter supports research projects to achieve cognitive services and technology in the country.

According to the public relations and information center of the Vice-Presidency for science and technology affairs, given the breadth of the field of cognitive sciences and technology and its multidisciplinary nature, supporting research, educational and promotional activities faces problems over a period of time. This issue, along with the newness of this field in the world and especially in Iran, is limited by the number and variety of specialties required. Now, the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter has aimed to support more search projects to eliminate limitations and achieve the latest technologies in the field.

Therefore, the headquarter has issued the 10^th call for research projects in the field, and researchers of 31 scientific centers have delivered more than 50 projects to the headquarter. In addition, the headquarter has supported more than 20 research projects in the field of cognitive sciences over the past nine calls. In last years, more than 80 prioritized research projects have been implemented and finalized by the support of the cognitive sciences and technologies development headquarter.

"Recovery and promotion of cognitive abilities", "applied and fundamental research in cognitive education", "applied and fundamental research in cognitive language (cognitive linguistics)", and "brain mapping cognitive research", "development of tools and techniques for studying the brain-networked behavior of time”, are among the measures supported by the cognitive sciences and technology development headquarter to support research projects in the field of cognitive technology and services in the country.

In addition, “cognitive research in clinical and cognitive neuroscience, "development of cognitive technologies related to brain-machine and brain-brain communication", as well as "fundamental studies and theory in cognitive science", "cognitive modeling" and "cognitive psychology” are other prioritized fields in this call.
