Locust invasion is one of the pests that cause damage to farms and agricultural fields due to drought. Coping with this pest through modern and non-chemical methods can have advantages over chemical methods.

Some media outlets quoted authorities saying that locust pests have damaged 30 percent of the country"s agricultural products. The insect attacks millions of farms and crops, and droughts and climate change are among the causes of the pest.

Given that various countries in the region are struggling with this problem, international cooperation has also been formed in this regard.

Coping with locusts using non-chemical methods has several environmental benefits. Accordingly, knowledge-based companies of the field were invited by the Vice-Presidency to send their projects focusing on coping with locust pests using non-chemical methods.
