A refinery with a capacity of 5 million milks. The purpose of this visit was to monitor the development of knowledge-based projects in the field of food safety and health and to upgrade the technological level of the value chain in the field of knowledge-based industries.

In this refinery, by separating milk, products such as cream, butter, milk proteins, casein, lactose sugar, etc. are produced; Also, the technology of this center is such that tap water returns to the production cycle, which is important in the situation of water shortage in the country. The refinery produces a variety of cheeses, various milks, meat products, confectionery and bakery products.

 The technology used in the refinery is the separation of milk by membrane method. A new technology that has not existed in Iran so far, and Kaleh Company, by localizing this technology with the help of the power and capacity of knowledge-based companies, connected Iran to the countries with this technology. Due to sanctions and the difficulty of importing devices, localization of this technology in the country was necessary.

According to the available statistics, 50,000 tons of butter and 25,000 tons of dairy products worth $ 600 million are imported annually to the country.
